Shared Decision Making Committee (SDMC)
What is the SDMC?
The Shared Decision Making Committee (SDMC) is a collaborative group of staff, parents, and community members working together to enhance student learning. The committee provides input and makes recommendations on key areas including budgeting, staffing, curriculum, school organization, and professional development. The SDMC operates in alignment with Texas state law and HISD Board Policy to ensure a unified and effective decision-making process.
GOALS
- Increase student achievement.
- Improve human capital.
- Provide a safe environment.
- Increase management effectiveness and efficiency.
- Improve public support and confidence in schools.
- Create a positive district culture.
